Don’t you just hate it when your hands are super dry and rough? You keep on thinking of best remedy for dry hands. And during winters Oh God!! these elbows need extra care and regular commercial hand cream is not enough.  Thanks to my good friend who sent me a batch of her homemade hand cream as a gift that solved all my dry and cracked skin woes. So now I’m pretty excited to share you this amazing DIY hand cream that worked great on my dry skin and smells heavenly (Lavender Effect 😉 ). And the cool thing is all ingredients are easily available from your supermarket.

Let’s begin our dry cracked hand’s treatment 😉

All you need:

  1. In a small pot add shea butter, coconut oil, almond oil and warm it in low flame until everything is melted.
  2. Once everything is melted, take out the mixture in a bowl and let it cool for 15-20 minutes. For fast cooling, you can place it in the freezer till it slightly solidifies.
  3. Now whip the mixture by using a hand mixer until it becomes fluffy and creamy. Slowly while mixing you can add vitamin E oil and any essential oil of your choice. I prefer lavender and peppermint oil. Its calming scent calms down your nerves and takes the stress out of the body.
  4. Pour the hand cream in an airtight glass jar. Apply the cream on your hands as often.
This awesome inexpensive DIY hand cream will soften and moisturize your dry, patchy hands.  The goodness of shea butter which is undoubtedly the best moisturizer with its incredible healing properties is indeed skin’s best friend. Coconut oil is rich in fatty acids that absorb quickly making your skin soft and radiant. Vitamin E, almond oil keeps your skin healthy protecting it from UV radiation and can heal your chapped irritated skin. So what are you waiting for? Rush to your kitchen and start making this delicious recipe!!! And don’t forget to share your experience.

Thank You!!
