We take so much care for our face but why not our body? Presenting you my list of DIY body exfoliator for a smooth and polished skin. After all, our body even needs extra pampering and anything homemade truly delivers the best results. Exfoliation is a crucial part of your skincare regime for soft, polished and glowing baby soft skin. As we age the process of skin cell regeneration slows down, as a result, it affects our skin health leaving our complexion look dull, rough and dry. Therefore it is crucial to exfoliate to remove the dead skin cells on the skin’s outermost layer. Brace yourselves for a heavenly experience with organic, DIY body exfoliator without emptying your pockets.

3. Rice Powder And Honey Scrub:

I guess I can’t stop writing about the goodness of rice. I believe rice is the best beauty ingredient that I have ever come across. As mentioned earlier  I use this as homemade toner or as a facemask.  So I thought why not to try as body scrub even. I won’t complicate it by adding on ingredients.

All you need:

  • 1/2 cup rice powder or uncooked rice finely ground to a powder
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoon honey.
  • 1 vitamin E capsule

Mix all the ingredients well and massage gently on rough areas like elbows, legs in a circular motion.

Rice powder has anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties that can get rid of your tanned skin like magic. It removes your dead and flaky skin thereby improving your skin texture.

Honey is a complexion booster that is extremely moisturizing and soothing for your skin. Its antibacterial properties are great for acne treatment and prevention.

Vitamin E has excellent skin healing, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can treat any of your skin concerns.

4. Homemade Fruity Scrub:

Honestly, I got influenced after using The Body Shop Strawberry Body Polish Scrub, so decided to give it a try. I thought it would be fun to give a shot and trust me it was worth it. If you love fruity scent then this

delicious diy body exfoliator serves the purpose.

All you need:

  • 1 cup dried strawberries
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup olive oil

Crush your freeze-dried strawberries in your grinder until you get a fine powder. Mix brown sugar, honey and olive oil in a small bowl. Massage in a circular motion on your elbows, legs, feet wherever you want to remove dead skin cells.

Strawberries are rich in Vitamins A and E, which help to fight aging and free radical damage. Honey’s moisturizing properties make your skin soft and glowing.

Quick Tip:

  • Store your favorite DIY body exfoliator in an airtight container.
  • Avoid getting water or steam inside your scrub container in order to ensure a long shelf life. The best way to do is to scoop out as much as you need so that the rest stays dry.
