Hello everyone !! Today I’m sharing you a quick and simple DIY relaxing lavender and salt scrub with a blend of nurturing oils to keep your skin moisturized and exfoliated. This super easy scrub is made with just a few ingredients- Epsom salt, Sweet almond oil, lavender essential oil and crushed flower petals of lavender.

Epsom salt is a naturally occurring pure mineral compound of magnesium and sulfate. When applied topically the magnesium ions interact with water and hydrate the skin. It is an excellent exfoliator that removes dirt and dead skin cells, helping your skin to look healthier and feel softer.

The aroma of lavender oil is enough to calm and balance emotions. The oil has anti-inflammatory properties that can treat any skin infections. It can even restore your skin’s complexion, helps treat acne and improve eczema.

And sweet almond oil is skin’s BFF. It is a natural moisturizer that is particularly beneficial for dry and flaky skin. It gets completely absorbed with the skin and doesn’t make you feel greasy. It is rich in vitamin E which is a powerful antioxidant that helps to fight free radicals. Hence it keeps your skin healthy and even protects from UV radiation. The best part is sweet almond oil is mostly noncomedogenic meaning it won’t clog your pores. How cool is that !!!!

Now let me tell you how to make this awesome recipe:

All you need:

  • ½ cup Epsom salt
  • 2 tablespoon of sweet almond oil
  • 10 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 1 teaspoon of crushed flower petals

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Rub it on your damp skin in circular motion. Wash it off with water.

Note: Salt scrubs are more abrasive with larger granules that is suitable for body scrubbing, I wouldn’t recommend using this scrub in the face.

If you’re allergic to nuts then you can replace sweet almond oil with coconut oil or grapeseed oil.

Thank You!!
