Hello everyone !! Today I’m going to share the benefits of this wonderful skin food-nutmeg for skin pigmentation, dark spots, blemishes, acne and for fine lines. Skin pigmentation or uneven skin tone can be so annoying. There are plenty of reasons for dark spots to show up on your face. Not to worry cuz the good news is we have found the perfect ingredient which you probably have it in your kitchen.

This wonderful exotic aromatic spice-nutmeg is not only limited to your favorite dishes but also quite an effective ingredient in your skin care regimen. Naturally harvested from evergreen trees called Myristica fragrans, it is the only tropical tree that produces two spices nutmeg and mace. Nutmeg is known to have curative properties that will nourish, repair and heal scars caused by acne or sunspots. Rich in anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, this makes a wonderful solution for various skin related problems. We all wish for dewy, soft, glowing and blemish-free skin, this all-rounder skin ingredient has been in nature and only for a fraction of cost.

Now let’s start with nutmeg face packs that are tried and tested, super easy to make:

1. Nutmeg For Skin Pigmentation And Blemishes (Dark Spot Treatment):

Ingredients:

Mix equal parts of nutmeg powder and cinnamon powder with raw honey to get a smooth consistency. Apply it on your face and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. If you are going for spot treatment then allow it for 1 hour or more. Wash it off with cold water. Apply this pack twice a week for best results. Nutmeg and cinnamon have excellent anti-inflammatory properties. And raw honey has antibacterial properties that can help to treat your dark spots as well as improving your skin tone.

2. Nutmeg For Acne:

Ingredients:

  • Nutmeg Powder
  • Sandalwood Powder
  • Rosewater

Mix equal parts of nutmeg powder and sandalwood powder with rose water to form a smooth consistency. Apply this paste all over your face. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Wash it off with cold water. The anti-inflammatory property in nutmeg helps in warding off your stubborn pimples that keep on crawling back to your face. Sandalwood has anti microbial properties plus its cooling sensation can lighten and clear your acne scars. When used with rose water it has the ability to reach a deeper level of skin pores and removing any dirt or impurities making your skin look smooth and hydrated.

3. Nutmeg For Anti-ageing:

Ingredients:

  • Nutmeg Powder
  • Yogurt

Mix nutmeg powder and yogurt in a bowl. Apply the paste evenly all over your face. Allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes. Wash it off once it dries off. Yogurt is all rounder superfood that has amazing health benefits. It is even a wonder product for your skin as well. Both nutmeg and yogurt contain anti-aging properties that fight off free radicals.

Note: Even though the recipes are safe to use but always do a patch test to find out if your skin is not irritated by any of these ingredients. When using face pack do not speak or move your face muscles as indirectly you may be stretching your skin.
